COVENANT WHEEL
Fortuna Baptist Church is committed to being Gospel-centered, with the truth of Jesus Christ at the core of all we do. This commitment is expressed through our worship, service, mission, and discipleship, as we seek to honor God and fulfill His purposes in our community and beyond.
We are gospel-centered because there is only one gospel that transforms lives (Galatians 1:6-7), and it proclaims the one true Savior (John 14:6). Being gospel-centered means we strive to do everything explained in this covenant in full and complete reliance on the blood-bought grace of Jesus Christ. In our efforts, we will display God's glory as the final and ultimate expression of God. And we will see to know Jesus (John 17:3) and make Jesus known to the world of sinners (2 Peter 2:16). The gospel is the center of our faith and practice as it is nothing less than the "power of salvation to everyone who believes" (Rom. 1:15).
Our vision for Fortuna Baptist Church is to be fully immersed in the gospel, striving to please God, not man, as He alone examines our hearts (1 Thessalonians 2:4). At FBC, we believe there are many ways to express our love and commitment to the gospel. While these eight demonstrations within our covenant wheel are not exhaustive, they provide a strong foundation for understanding what a healthy, gospel-centered Christian should embody and practice.
