However, there is something that separates us from God: sin. If we are to reach the place of God—heaven, perfection, and eternal joy—we must first acknowledge that we are stained by sin. This sin runs deep, affecting the core of who we are.
Therefore, to truly experience God, we must go through Jesus. As He said, “No one comes to the Father except through me.” By turning from your sin and trusting in Jesus—who took your sin and its punishment on the cross—you can experience a deep union with the living God through the Holy Spirit.
You might wonder, why would a holy and perfect God help someone like me, a sinner? Or why would Jesus take my place and pay the price for my sin? The answer is simple: “God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8) That’s right—God loves sinners. He sent His only Son so that we could experience Him. “Christ suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring us to God” (1 Peter 3:18). If you want to experience God and know Him personally, place your faith in Jesus and begin living as a child of God.
